Introduction
Why is money hard to come by when the earth itself provides
endlessly, 1 grain, ten thousand grains, freely. It
all starts from the ground up. This is MB business-use
the endless bounty of the earth and transform it into
money. Take out the middleman, and have the earth be
a part of the Macrobiotic business, this leads to community.
Community supports business, business supports community.
Efficient business has excess money to support itself,
community, and the future
societal education through
non-profit, Macrobiotic laboratory, research, etc
past, present, future.
Community holds and preserves the past. Business connects
the world in the present, non-profit, etc. paves the
way for the future. These can be paralleled to female-male-neutral,
as well as digestive-excretory, circulatory-respiratory,
and brain, respectively. They latter are all educated
through the central nervous system.
Each part circulates energy within itself, and with
the whole, through ki, money, and blood. Dynamic, harmonious,
spiralic movement occurs at the meeting points and end
points of the three sections. Seven points occur, correlating
with the seven chackras, and the resulting image is
that of the energetic human body.
We, people, are just cells. We are like single celled
organisms floating around in the sea of life. The societal
organism is a complete organism composed of these, human
being, cells. A diet centered on whole grain is necessary
for this to happen.
Macrobiotic people are already leaning in this direction
because of the influence of whole grain. Refined grain
and grain products create individuals without the organization
and wholeness needed to create a societal organism.
Out of whole grain, brown rice has the greatest ability
to bring people together in an organized way.
Think of a rice-ball.
No other grain has the ability to hold itself together
in such a way and provide the balanced nourishment to
support a long-standing civilization. Brown rice and
especially rice-balls are the quintessential food for
this purpose of bringing people together in a complete
and organized way. Already there are many different
macrobiotic groups and organizations that are like organs
and other body parts. This however, is not enough. Imagine
if we were just parts of ourselves. Maybe some of us
are a heart, others are intestines, and others are a
brain, but who has a whole body?
The different groups and organizations need to come
together in an organized way based on a unifying model.
This model can be based on us, human beings. There could
not be a better model than this. In this way, the various
groups and organizations can work with, and support
each other in a harmonious way just like our own bodies
do. This is far more efficient way of doing things than
the way things are done now. Much more could be accomplished
with much less effort. This is a model for the future
of mankind.
The
model
This is a model based on nature's order, or more specifically,
the human body, which is an orderly interaction of yin
and yang, or heaven's and earth's force in it's most
complete form in this point of time and space. This
model can be used without limitation since it represents
a manifestation of the infinite universe itself. It
works on any scale, small or large. It can be the model
for the whole world.
The structure can be seen as a triangle, or like a pyramid.
The base width and the height are equal, showing yin
and yang, horizontal and vertical. The resulting diagonal
sides show the peripheral structure, as opposed to the
center and the base as a combination of yin and yang.
This shape simply represents yin, yang and the order
of the universe.
We can naturally divide
this triangle into 3 horizontal sections, and two vertical
sections. This results in 6 sections. Upper, middle,
lower, as well as respective left and right within each
of the former. In the body, we can also divide it as
such. The lower section represents the digestive system,
the excretory system, and the sex organs.
The middle section represents the circulatory and respiratory
systems. The upper section represents the head and the
brain, as well as the center of the nervous system,
which runs vertically down the center of the body along
with the spiritual channel. The spiritual channel is
a major pathway for the ki energy that circulates through
our body. It is comprised of seven chackras and is located
towards the front of the body, opposite the spine. The
central nervous system divides left and right, or descending
heaven's force, and ascending earth's force.
Here we have the basic
structure of the human body represented in the form
of a pyramid or triangle. This shape can be seen if
we elongate a flat spiral. The center becomes the top
of the triangle, while the periphery becomes the base.
When we sit either cross-legged, lotus position, or
seiza, we occupy this shape. Seiza creates a more vertical,
and yang shaped pyramid, but it is still the same basic
shape. When we lie down we are horizontal.
This is good for sleep and sex, and it activates our
deepest circulation. When we stand, we are vertical.
This is good for physical activity and it activates
our peripheral circulation. When we sit without a chair,
we take the basic shape of a triangle. Sitting is the
most natural position for eating, thinking, reading,
writing, listening, conversing, etc
Sitting activates
both peripheral and deep circulation to our organs.
It is the most balanced position, in between yin and
yang. It is the natural shape for a balanced model.
Lifestyle
Imagine a place where everyone does what they want all
the time without any concern for money, food, or bills,
and taxes. Imagine what it would be like if everyday
was spent happily with friends and family. Most people
would never dream of this possibility, but it can be
a reality. This is the natural way of life in the societal
organism. We can be the happy cells of a healthy, macrobiotic
human body. This is possible if we follow the natural
order that is shown to us through our own bodies.
In the body, every cell, tissue, muscle, nerve, organ
and system does what is unique to itself, for the whole
body. The heart pumps blood for the whole body and it
does not ask any other organ to share in that responsibility.
That is the uniqueness of the heart. The brain thinks
for the whole body and it does not ask any other part
to share in that responsibility. This is true with every
part of our body. Each part works for the whole. This
is the essence of a happy life. If we recreate this
in our own life, then we too can be happy our whole
life.
All people are unique
and have specific needs and talents that lend themselves
to specific roles in life. In the societal organism,
everyone would find the place that suits him or her
best. Some people are cooks, others are teachers, or
painters, and others are musicians or craft oriented.
All these things have a place in the societal organism.
Every aspect of a natural life can be represented.
In modern life, many people never allow themselves to
pursue their dreams for many reasons including, lack
of money, resources, confidence, social repression,
unclear thinking, and others. They end up living a lie
by doing what they hate. This causes them to hate themselves
and all those around them, which leads to unhappiness
and sickness.
In the body, every part
is happy doing what it wants all the time, but within
this, there is great order. For instance, the heart
never takes a day off. The heart never takes a few moments
off. None of the organs take much time off, unless they
are temporarily not needed. When an organ is needed,
it must respond or consequences could arise. If we eat
food and our intestines decide that they are not in
the mood to digest, then we are in trouble because we
cannot discharge, we cannot absorb energy and nutrition,
and the food putrefies in our intestines causing us
to be poisoned. If this continues for long enough, then
we die from a toxic condition.
As human beings we are
free to do anything. However, in the societal organism,
there are parts, like the parts in our own bodies, which
have a responsibility to the whole. These parts are
essential for the wellbeing of the societal organism.
Here we have a paradox. We are whole complete human
beings, that when combined in a unit, form a part. This
part, together with other parts form a greater whole.
Whole and part are complimentary antagonisms.
They complete each other like yin and yang, man and
woman, hot and cold, freedom and slavery, etc
The whole is complete, and free, while the part is incomplete
and not free. So, as a whole being, we have no responsibilities,
but as a part of a whole, or as a part of a part, we
have responsibilities. Both aspects are true, and co-exist
simultaneously in perfect order and harmony.
The
Three Sections
Lower > Middle
> Upper
Lower
The lower section, represents the digestion, excretory
and sex. The dividing line in the body is the line of
the rib cage. In life, the lower section parallels our
physical connection to food, nature, and lifestyle.
This means that physically, we should be living in a
way that compliments our natural diet.
The digestion, located
in the lower section of the body, digests and absorbs
the food that we consume. When we eat food, it should
be of the highest quality, natural, organic and fresh.
Practically speaking, if we want to model our intestines,
then we should live in association with the land that
grows the food. This ensures our connection to the food,
and the environment that creates the food. If we choose
to live in the city away from the land that grows the
food, then it is like eating processed food that once
came from nature, and we create separation from natural
order. We are not truly a product of a natural environment
in this case.
Because we choose to
eat food that comes directly from the earth, it is most
natural that we should not separate ourselves physically
from the fertile earth. Cities can hardly be called
fertile in that sense. To receive the greatest connection,
to and from our food, we should be as close to nature
as we can. This is ideal living, close to the natural
earth.
Then we are living macrobioticly
as shown by the lower section. It is not only important
to live near the food, but to live in a natural, sustainable,
and self-sufficient way. Again, we can see that healthy
intestines are natural, sustainable and self-sufficient.
We should not need digestive aids nor should our intestines
wear out before we do. Proper eating and moderate exercise
is all we need for healthy intestines. If we have to
replace our intestines, then something is very wrong
with our own health.
Raising children is a big part of this section as well.
Children are of course grown in the womb, which is part
of the lower section. This points to family, which in
turn, comes together as intentional, land-based, community
living.
The lower section is
mainly concerned with the past and it is feminine. A
woman's energy is focused in the lower regions of the
body. This is why women are able to become pregnant
and give birth to another human being. Men are not capable
of this. Also, a woman's digestive system is stronger
than a man's, and she is able to eat more simply and
consume less volume than a man is able to do. This is
because she can absorb more nutrition from less food,
and is therefore biologically more efficient.
It is said that a woman is biologically superior to
a man for these reasons. Another reason is that a woman
has less body hair than a man. This means that she is
further evolved from primitive animals, all of which
have hair. Of course, if they don't have hair then they
have thick rough skin, feathers, scales or shells. The
more body hair a person has, the less biologically evolved
he/she is. Community life is therefore associated more
with a woman, since her energy is stronger in this area,
our physical center.
The community deals with traditional ways of life. It
looks to the past to find answers for the present. Its
focus is on food, farming, cooking, food processing,
children, child education, sex, and physicality. It
deals with all physical aspects of a macrobiotic life.
As an addition to this section of community living,
there would be a macrobiotic residential clinic for
those people that have come to macrobiotics and are
sick and unable to care for themselves temporarily,
or have reached the level of sickness where they are
no longer, or never were able to guide there own lives.
These people would be sent here by their own choice
or by a caretaker or by recommendation of a macrobiotic
counselor.
The clinic would be a regular house in every way with
enough space to house many people. Residents of the
community would care for the people. Those that have
been healed may care for those that are sick, to the
degree that they are able. The residents of the clinic
would participate in all other aspects of community
life, as they are able to do so.
This is a big part of their healing especially for those
that have reached the level of sickness where they are
no longer able to guide their own lives, as this is
a sickness of society. It is a product of a sick society
and can only be corrected by a healthy society. This
is also important education for residents of the community,
especially the children. It can teach understanding
and non-exclusivity to those that have been less fortunate
in their diet and lifestyle, and gives us perspective
and appreciation for our own diet and lifestyle.
Living in the modern
world we are subjected to sickness on a daily basis.
There are sick people walking around everywhere. Viruses
are spreading like wildfire across the world. We have
food that can cause sickness everywhere. We have pollution
of every kind in most places. The threat of war is ever-present
and no place is completely protected from it. Natural
disasters are becoming more common everywhere. All these
things have the benefit of producing their opposite,
health, happiness and freedom. This is because it is
a universal law that all phenomena at their extremes
change to their opposite.
So sickness changes to health, war to peace, yin to
yang and yang to yin. Because of this, it can only benefit
a community to have some of it's opposite present. Having
some sick people among a majority of healthy people
will ensure the health of the whole community. In other
words, the community will not reach it's extreme of
health and therefore it will not change into it's opposite,
sickness. All yang must have some yin, and all yin must
have some yang.
Nothing is either pure
yin or pure yang or it could not exist. As it approaches
this state of one-sidedness, it reaches the extreme
and changes to its opposite. This is the same with MB
people. When someone becomes too yang, too clean, or
too tight, he or she attract their opposite. It might
come as an accident, a sickness or a lifestyle change,
which forces them to become more yin, dirty, or loose.
This is why the community should have some of its opposite,
sick people.
The essence of this section
is educating ourselves and our families, macrobiotically.
The order of progression and priority for attention
and nourishment is, ourselves, our partners, our children,
our parents, our siblings, our extended family, our
community, and ourselves. We must be first and last.
Middle
The middle section, representing the circulatory and
respiratory systems are breathing in the outer world,
and circulating it through our body carried by blood.
Blood is comprised of three main parts, yang food from
our intestines, balanced liquid also from the intestines,
and yin air, or oxygen from the lungs. Blood feeds our
whole body with these three things. Well-nourished blood
is like money flowing through society. Money can be
used to nourish us properly, if we are not greedy. When
we are greedy for money, this means that some parts
get over nourished while other parts become under nourished.
That is the state of the world today caused by greed
for money. In the body, this is caused by an imbalanced
diet without a central focus on grain.
Money has long been a
part of traditional cultures and societies. Originally,
money would have taken the form of simple trade and
barter. Someone in a village has something that another
doesn't have and so a trade is made based on a desire
for things that they do not possess. Trade is also responsible
for modern dualistic thinking. It is said that the Greeks
traded for food from different climatic environments
far from Greece. This brought about dualism, which spread
west through Europe, and eventually throughout the whole
world in modern times. This kind of trading is extreme,
because we can't align with our own environment if we
eat foods from a very different climate. This separation
produces dualistic thinking. Local trade from similar
climates and environments is fine and healthy.
There are always differences
among people, places, and time. Out of these differences
arise the desire, and sometimes the need, for things
that we do not possess. No one place, time or person
can possess everything. This is a basic universal law;
all phenomena are a differentiation of one infinity.
This also means that no two things are identical in
this universe. Wants and desires are a result of this,
and serve no other purpose than our collective, endless
search for infinity, or oneness. Whenever we are attracted
to something, we are seeking oneness. Money is nothing
more than a means for seeking this oneness. If we break
it down into simple terms of barter and trade, it is
still the same, just simpler. The problem exists with
money when people become greedy and forget that we are
all the same.
When someone hoards money,
others become poor. When others become poor, all become
poor, poor in spirit, which is far more valuable than
money.
Money truly has the same nature as the air we breathe.
It has the same purpose of nourishing us and is naturally
attracted to us, as we are to it. All people breathe
the same air, just as all people use the same money.
Our breathing air is seeking oneness, and our use of
money is seeking oneness.
Imagine if some
people started hording air. They stashed it in giant
tanks for their own usage, thinking that the more air
they gathered, the better off and happier they would
be. Meanwhile the air becomes thinner and sparser. Some
other people might start to think that air is bad. They
naturally would associate air with the air-mongers who
hoard most of the air. However, from a bigger perspective,
we can see that both views are small-minded and infantile.
There is no need to horde air just as there is no need
to horde money, and there is no need to think that air
is bad, or good, just as there is no need to think that
money is bad, or good. Money is our shared experience
on this earth, just like the air we breathe, and both
are only good if used with the whole picture in mind.
In the societal organism,
this section deals with money, or in simpler terms,
the connection to the rest of the world through the
physical realm. A macrobiotic business would support
the whole organism financially. Its purpose is simple,
but essential. The business would have to be physically
supported by the lower section, and guided by the upper
section. This would mean that all material that the
business would be based on would come from the lower
section.
For example, food, food products, crafts, clothing,
art, music, pottery, and all things that comes from
living a simple natural life in harmony with the environment.
It also means that the business should be macrobiotic
in its products, as well as macrobiotic in its purpose.
For example, junky "natural" snacks are not
MB if they do not follow macrobiotic principles, and
overpriced goods that only upper and middle class can
afford is not macrobiotic either. The business should
be created from the viewpoint of education. Its aim
should be to educate society in a physical way by allowing
everyone to have, and enjoy macrobiotic food and macrobiotic
products.
The middle section is
mainly concerned with the present and it is masculine.
Traditionally, men have the job of supporting the family
by gathering materials from outside the home and bringing
them to the home for the purpose of nourishing the family
in various ways. This could include gathering food,
wood, natural materials and other things as well as,
making money to buy things. These activities are like
the functions of the heart and lungs, which breathe
in air and circulate blood through the body for the
purpose of nourishing the whole body with out much exception.
The lungs also breathe out excess, mainly in the form
of carbon dioxide. This is something we do not want,
and it is like going to the market and selling materials.
We breathe out so that we can breathe in and receive
oxygen, just like the money we receive when we sell
something.
The middle section is concerned with the present because
it deals with the world in the present as opposed to
the lower section, which doesn't have a direct connection
to the outside like the middle section does. Business
has to deal with the present situation of the world.
If it did business with the past, the business would
fail. Our lungs are the same, we must breathe each breath
in a small amount of time or we run out of air. If we
run, then we breathe very rapidly and our heart beats
fast, but we do not need to eat while we run because
the intestines still nourish us with food from the past.
This is why the middle section is concerned with the
present.
Upper
The upper section, representing the brain and head relates
to all aspects of life that involve thinking, guiding,
leading, science, technology, transmutation, philosophy,
research, development, promotion, advertising, donating,
inventing, discovering, exploring, prayer, meditation
and spirituality.
The upper section is
both masculine and feminine because both men and women
have heads that are very similar in structure. Both
have eyes, ears, nose, and mouth that act very similar.
Men have short hair that stands more vertically and
acts as antennae to receive heaven's force while women
generally have longer hair that hangs down and receives
earth's force.
The hair influences our thinking as it directly covers
our brains. Men have more analytical, intellectual thinking,
while women have more emotional, instinctual thinking.
Men are more physically practical and mentally idealistic
while women are more mentally practical and physically
idealistic. This can be seen when a man and a women
are ready to go out and the women takes much longer
than the man to get ready, making herself beautiful
with many adornments and the man is impatiently waiting
to walk out the door. He says, "Please hurry up
dear, or we will be late." She replies, "Have
patience, I'll be ready soon."
On the way over, the
man talks about his great big plans for the future and
the woman asks him how will he do this, and what about
this factor and that factor, and all the variables and
details. The man says "don't worry, these will
all fall into place, please don't destroy my dreams
yet."
These thoughts of factors, details and variables are
what are needed to make his dreams a reality.
Man and women complete each other, as do the practical
and ideal. Their minds are similar, but different. A
woman's view is yang while a man's view is yin.
This section also deals
with future since thoughts, dreams, visions, and prayers
have to be turned into reality at some point in the
future. Also, our eyes only see in front of us into
the distance and future, not behind us into the past.
So our visions and dreams are for the future. Our ears
can hear all around us so we can have thoughts about
anything, past, present, or future. But if our thoughts
are to be put into action, then they have to be for
the future.
The essence of this section
would be societal education in a yin way as opposed
to the middle section, which educates society with yang,
physical food and materials. The education primarily
would include all aspects of MB research, promotion
and advertising. This would take form as a non-profit
organization that deals with these things. The present
day models are the various food boards that promote
dairy, meat, eggs, etc. These groups guide society by
their advertisements, promotions and research. They
say that these foods are healthy and advertise them
in an appealing way so that people are attracted to,
and feel good about eating them.
MB people can do the same things with whole grains,
vegetables, brown rice, natural food products, etc.
All that is needed for this to happen is the vision
and some organization. Already the potential for money
to be made is there. This section is essential for a
MB business to grow and thrive. Without this, people
would not support a MB business on a large scale and
there would not be enough money to support full functioning
of the organism.
The
Chakras
A more detailed look
at the body
Root > Hara
> Solar-plexus > Heart
> Throat > Mid-brain
> Crown > The
Organism
In the body there are seven chackras, or energy centers
where ki gathers and circulates.
These chackras provide the energy for the various functions
of our body.
The chackras in order from bottom to top are, the root
chackra, the hara chackra, the solar-plexus chackra,
the heart chackra, the throat chackra, the midbrain
chackra, and the crown chackra. They represent various
central aspects of the societal organism.
Root
The root chackra, located in the pelvic area at the
lowest central point, represents living quarters, or
our individual homes, as well as the primary unit of
either a single person, or a couple. For this, we can
make our homes natural, clean, pretty and livable. Our
homes have the primary purpose of nourishing ourselves,
our partners, and our children if we have them. This
is the central location for cooking, eating, sleeping,
sex, and family life. All aspects of this should fit
a MB lifestyle. The mother guides this chackra, because
the mother guides most aspects of home life.
In the body, sex cells are located here, and fertilization
of the egg occurs here. We are like little sex organs
at home. The most natural place for a baby to be born
is at home. Also, sex is a natural part of home life
between a couple.
Much of a child's education occurs at home. It is like
the education that occurs during fertilization of the
egg and the time it takes to travel to the uterus. Even
during the time a fetus is in the womb, much influence
comes from this area from the natural presence of earth's
force rising from the root chackra. This is like when
a child leaves home everyday to play, learn and discover
in the community or village, but comes home every night
to eat and sleep.
This is the place where earth's force enters our body.
In a woman, this area is more open; while in a man,
it is more closed. Because of this, a woman naturally
receives more earth's force and takes on the qualities
of this in her basic personality. The qualities of the
earth are passivity, receptivity, beauty in its natural
state, nurturing, and endless giving of physical food
and materials. Our homes should have the same qualities
as a woman and the earth.
This is also the primary place for physical discharge.
At home we are most relaxed and can discharge freely
so that when we are away from home, we can be clean
in thought and behavior. Men need to go out sometimes
to discharge. A man's sex organs are located outside
of the body while a woman's are inside. This can be
done mostly with food and or drink, but sometimes, an
excessive need for discharge in a man can turn into
sex or an affair with another woman. This is like binging
on the marriage, or rather, going out to an Italian
dinner. Women should not likely have this problem for
the same reasons as a man, and women have less of a
need to binge.
The root chackra is also connected to the kidneys, our
main source of vitality. Home is our place for recharging
our energy. When we go home after being away for a while,
we feel refreshed and re-energized. If we stay away
for too long, we lose energy and become ungrounded because
our home is our roots. The same thing happens if we
eat out too much or even sleep out too much. If we have
an affair, also the same thing happens. These are all
different kinds of binges. Binging can be useful for
activating peripheral circulation, especially in a man.
If it is done excessively, it can weaken the person.
All binging has a big effect on the kidneys, for better
or worse.
Hara
The hara chackra, located a little below the naval,
represents child education or school. Children need
to be guided and educated about life. Without education,
a child is lost and cannot progress much beyond the
level of a wild animal. It is like taking a fertilized
egg out of the womb, and putting it in an incubator.
What chance will it have to live a macrobiotic life
without the influence of the mother and macrobiotic
food? Children are dependant on the parents, especially
the mother.
The mother grows the child in her womb, births the child,
feeds the child with breast milk and then cooks for
the child. The child is nothing without the mother.
The same is true as far as education until the child
leaves home. Leaving home is equivalent to birth. After
birth, there is slightly less of a connection, but there
is still a strong connection. After a child leaves home,
the parents continue to educate the child, though, a
little less extensively. This education never ends;
it just changes.
Our intestines are located around the
hara region. This means that our childhood education
is like the constitution of our thought process for
our whole lives. This is because our intestines relate
to our thinking ability. The process of food digestion
is the same as thought digestion. Weak intestines show
weak thinking ability, while strong intestines show
strong thinking ability.
If we had very poor childhood education, then we can
make balance with an accurate macrobiotic practice for
the rest of our lives. This would make a very strong
intestinal condition that can make balance for a weak
intestinal constitution. In this way, we can have macrobiotic
thinking despite our un-macrobiotic upbringing. Also,
the quality of the mother's intestines during pregnancy
will have a major influence on the over-all constitution
of the baby since the intestines and the baby are so
close together. This is the same as young childhood
education while still living at home, which has a major
influence on the child's mental constitution.
Constitution is our original condition,
which stays with us for the rest of our lives, and our
condition is our present state of health, and is a complimentary
antagonism to our constitution.
In the societal organism, there would be a formalized,
yet freely adaptable children's school. The mothers,
mainly, would guide all the children in the school.
Many things would be taught from the most practical
daily life skills, to the most ideal philosophies and
cosmologies. Every aspect of macrobiotic life would
be taught with order appropriateness and consideration
of age. The age of the child would determine what kind
of education would be taught. This would expand from
very general to very specific, as the child got older.
Also, male and female education would differ more as
age progresses.
The intestines are also located in this
area and are indicative of a farm since our small intestine
deals with absorption of nutrients and blood formation.
The farm should be located in the community and be an
integral part of daily life and childhood education.
Natural farming methods should be practiced to ensure
the health of the societal organism and the farm should
be the main source of food for the whole societal organism.
This is necessary to have the greatest connection with
the environment. There should also be a clean and natural,
local water source since the large intestine deals with
water absorption. Composting is also a part of this
section since the large intestine deals with bowel formation.
This is our natural, organic waste that should naturally
go back to the earth.
Also as a part of this section is making
natural crafts, clothes, art, music and anything else
that is a result of living in harmony with the land.
These things should come from natural products of the
land, like wood, natural fibers, rocks, clay, etc
This is the same as our small intestines producing blood
out of food because these natural products are the materials
that nourish us in life.
The products can then be taken to the market and sold
for money. This is like blood flowing to the lungs to
become oxygenated and recirculated. All of these aspects
of living should be integrated into the childrens schooling.
This chackra is mostly female oriented since woman have
the responsibility of harboring a child in the womb,
and therefore, naturally would do most of the educating
of the child in the school.
Solar-plexus
The solar-plexus chackra, located just below the rib
cage in the center, represents adult education or macrobiotic
school. This is an extension of our child-hood education
and deals with more specific and detailed education
than the former. Here we learn about life in a big sense.
If we are a teacher in this school, then we learn even
more than the student.
The organs connected to this chackra are stomach, spleen,
pancreas, liver and gall bladder. They control our appetite
and are responsible for most of the breakdown of food.
Through true education, we are able to digest and breakdown
life. This leads to understanding the order of the universe.
Macrobiotic schools are already established in various
places. The difference would be that in the societal
organism, education is free or minimal in cost so that
everyone can receive this because it is a right as a
human being to be educated if we so choose.
Just as the earth gives food freely and endlessly so
that all can feed their hungry stomachs, we too can
give education freely and endlessly to all who are hungry.
True education is the path to freedom from false knowledge.
True education is more about unlearning than learning.
It parallels macrobiotic food as a way to dissolve stagnation
and excess nourishment, which opens the path for complete
nourishment to undernourished parts.
As an additional ongoing part of this section, it would
be necessary to have the study of food and diet, in
its various applications, as it would apply to the ever-changing
environment. This would include the constant refinement
of cooking techniques as well as food processing, overall
food choices, lifestyle practices, and farming techniques.
This chackra is both male and female oriented since
both are capable of teaching macrobiotics.
Heart
The heart chackra, located at the area of the heart
represents macrobiotic business. A macrobiotic business
as discussed earlier, is supported physically by the
lower section and guided by the upper section. In turn,
it supports the whole organism financially. Because
of this, many things can be given for free or at minimal
cost, from the organism, such as education, macrobiotic
counseling, bodywork, etc
Of course, no structure
would be put in place for this, for example, a rich
client who wants excessive treatments or counseling
would need to be charged an appropriate fee.
The heart chackra is located in the area of the heart
and lungs. This is our connection to the rest of the
world since the whole world shares the air we breathe.
A natural connection can be made to money from this
since money has the same quality of being a necessity
that the whole world shares. On a smaller scale, this
chackra could include bartering and trading. It is a
necessity to have a shared existence with the rest of
the world since we are all one, living on one planet.
The heart pumps rich blood throughout the whole body,
so naturally, the macrobiotic business would do the
same with money in the societal organism. Also, businesses
can be ruthless, so it is important that a macrobiotic
business have plenty of heart. Modern businessmen must
have congested hearts.
This chackra is male oriented since men traditionally
have the responsibility of providing for the family.
Throat
The throat chackra, located in the middle of the throat,
represents macrobiotic laboratory. This is where macrobiotic
science takes place. By this I mean various things such
as transmutation of elements, macrobiotic sustainable
technology, development of natural and sustainable energy
sources, macrobiotic inventions, etc
This would
include a re-evaluation of all sciences from the eyes
of the unifying principle.
The mouth and throat are located around this chackra.
Chewing and swallowing are the essential activities
of the mouth. This parallels thinking and the intellect,
but in a more physical, yang way than the stomach, spleen
and pancreas which also chew food, but in a more yin
way, indicating intellect on a deeper and less practical
level.
The set-up of the laboratory would look much like a
regular kitchen, but instead of cooking food, all kinds
of materials would be cooked and processed. The accomplishments
of this chackra in the societal organism will eventually
break down all economic, political and social structures
in the world by allowing precious items to become abundant.
Economic collapse world-wide will lead to political
and social collapse as the basis of modern society and
it's values are made useless.
Money will no longer be backed by gold. Precious metals
will be valued only for their inherent qualities, and
not for their scarcity, as transmutation becomes a common
practice. New, stronger, lighter materials will be made
for highly efficient, natural, sustainable and harmless
technology. This is all accomplished by chewing well.
In the body, real strength is determined by a harmonious
balance of yin and yang. Yang alone does not make strength,
and neither does yin alone. It is like fine art, where
there is a dynamic interplay of opposing factors and
parts that combine to make a whole.
Strength parallels creativity, and creativity is the
natural determining factor of wealth. In the societal
organism, and in the future during the time when the
whole world is macrobiotic, the strongest people being
the most creative, will also be the wealthiest. All
things that involve a high level of creativity will
be the most valued items. These things include, all
arts with cooking as the highest physical art, teaching,
healing, guiding, and anything that directly benefits
humanity.
This chackra is mostly male oriented since men need
to chew more and are generally more intellectual.
Mid-brain
The mid-brain chackra, located in the lower forehead,
represents macrobiotic non-profit organization for societal
education in a broad sense. This is opposed to the macrobiotic
school, which educates people on a small-scale, personal
level, and macrobiotic business, which educates society
with macrobiotic food and macrobiotic products. This
chackra includes things such as macrobiotic research,
promotion, advertising, etc
also, the re-balancing
of worldwide poverty, the re-establishment of natural
agriculture and lifestyle. The aim of this chackra is
to set the dietary and lifestyle direction for the whole
world.
New findings from research about the benefits of macrobiotic
food and lifestyle will be made commonly available.
Ad campaigns for macrobiotic foods will also be common
and widespread. Until the balance is made in the world,
foods will have to be donated to all peoples that cannot
afford it or are unable to grow food for various reasons.
This chackra is both male and female oriented.
Crown
The crown chackra, located on the top of the head, represents
a shrine or a place for spiritual or ancestral prayer
and or meditation. The main point being that it should
have some special significance for this purpose of prayer
and or, meditation. This aspect is part of all traditional
lifestyles and is carried through to the modern age
by religion. It does not need to have any religious
association, but rather, it should have some personal
significance. The most basic aspects of this are quiet,
clean, orderly, uncluttered, and for this purpose and
not others.
The crown chackra is our connection to heaven or the
spirit world, also known as the world of the infinite.
We can see this influence in our hair spiral that everyone
has, unless they have lost their hair. This is where
this energy enters our body from above. It then circulates
down through all of the chackras.
The societal organism is based on various kinds of education
and the crown chackra educates the entire universe through
prayer and meditation. This can be very powerful and
long lasting. This kind of education transcends time
and space and has the widest and deepest influence out
of all the other chackras.
This kind of education comes to us as dreams, inspiration,
intuition, ideas, feelings of peace, freedom and oneness,
etc
If we educate in this way, we at the same
time become the teacher and student, for we make ourselves
open to receive similar energy as to what we put out.
It can have great influence for specific purposes such
as pacifying spirits, sending healing energy to someone,
sending peace somewhere, or anything that one can imagine.
This is the realm of spirit, so there are no limits
as to what can be done.
This chackra is essential for maintaining a balanced
direction in life because it acts as a universal point
of reference for everything, just as our crown chackra
is always pointing towards the infinite universe. We
can rely on our crown chackra to keep us balanced and
headed in the right direction by following it's example
and connect to the non-physical worlds through prayer
and meditation.
This chackra is beyond gender.
The Organism
The societal organism can set the stage for the coming
age of peace, prosperity, and wisdom, also known as
the golden age or paradise by establishing the world-organism.
The world organism is comprised of societal organisms
throughout the world, which act collectively as one-world-organism.
All the chackras will communicate as one. All groups
of mid-brain chackras will act as government, which
educates and guides, rather than establishes arbitrary
laws and taxes.
There can be many organisms all over the world that
interact and support each other. One business can support
more than one community and in this organism, as opposed
to the human body, there are no space limitations. This
means that each individual chackra can be a part of
another organism. This is because this is a more yin,
energetic organism, than our own bodies. There will
be not much distinction between individual organisms
and the world organism.
Afterward
This is a vision for the near and far future. It is
my wish that all those that come across these words
can in some way be a part of this vision, whether by
acknowledging it's value and sharing it's virtue, or
by in some way helping to make it happen.
To all those who eat whole grain, let
us be whole again, and consume the whole world.
